GET /v1/fx/bcv/currencies · All plans. Each value is VES per unit of the named currency. USD is excluded; use reference for the official USD rate.

Request

Returns the latest captured snapshot, which may announce a future value date. No parameters required; supports formats. The old /v1/beta/fx/bcv/currencies route has been removed. Run these examples on your server. JavaScript and Python use the clients in the quickstart; configure COTIZAVE_API_KEY there.

Response

Illustrative response: figures and dates are not current quotes.
reference_value_date is the published value date in YYYY-MM-DD format. reference_value_date_text preserves the source label, including when reading English documentation. rates maps currencies to values; captured_at is the capture time, not the effective date.

Publication versus applicability

You can display an upcoming value date while indicating that it is not yet applicable. To convert EUR using the current reference, use /v1/fx/convert?from=EUR&to=VES&amount=100&via=eur_reference and inspect effective_date. Do not automatically use the latest publication for an invoice dated before it.

Errors

404 bcv_snapshot_unavailable indicates that no snapshot is available. The common errors for authentication, quota and availability also apply. API error responses are JSON; branch on code, not on the text of message.

Source and precision

Shares snapshot storage with /bcv/banks; captures may differ if an update occurs between calls. Preserve the received precision and apply rounding when displaying or fixing amounts.
